This Is Not a Government Office. We run a private reference site. We cannot pull criminal records, run official background checks, remove or correct a record, or accept expungement filings for anyone. For any of those, you need to reach the right government office directly.
Need an Official Record?
Use these official routes for the records most often requested in Ohio County:
- Court case files: see criminal court case records, or contact the Ohio Circuit Court Clerk at the Kentucky Court of Justice county page
- Identity-based criminal history: contact Kentucky State Police, Criminal Identification and Records Branch
- Booking and jail records: call Ohio County Detention Center at 270-298-4455
- Official statewide court reports: order through AOC FastCheck or One-Time Request
- Police reports and incident records: contact the agency that wrote the report
- Expungement: obtain the AOC/KSP certification, then file with the clerk in the county of the charge
For sheriff-created reports, contact the Ohio County Sheriff, 301 S. Main Street, P.O. Box 186, Hartford, KY 42347, 270-298-4444. Published hours are Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., plus the first and last Saturday, 8 a.m. to noon. Court files instead begin with the Ohio Circuit Court Clerk at 130 E. Washington Street in Hartford.
